Jasmin Lethbridge was destined to be a hairdresser. During the 70s, she was her mother’s show pony & rocked up at school in everything from Princess Leia buns to Heidi braids and pre- Björk doorknobs. At 13, Jasmin took her hair into her own hands and started experimenting. After a bad Henna job, dodgey perm and a brush with the Princess Di flick, Jasmin blossomed into a Trish Goff pixie, with a Salt ’n Pepa inspired asymmetrical permed bob. Her move Down Under coincided with leaving school to pursue the dream. Fours years learning the ropes in salons across Sydney, a Toni & Guy Cutting Course later and a stint on the Gold Coast propelled her to the UK for some creative inspiration. Vidal Sassoon and several more years honing her skills led Jasmin back to Sydney and with partner Leonard Newton, they created Desmond & Molly Jones.
